She oversees the organization’s year-round events portfolio and creates original event programs at the intersection of the Tribune's newsroom and engagement efforts, including for the annual Texas Tribune Festival. Before joining the Tribune in 2015, she worked in the Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies at the University of Texas at Austin and for South by Southwest. A Houston native, Jessica holds a history degree from the University of Texas at Austin and is human to her cat, Stevie.
