Straus Touts Record in New TV Ad

House Speaker Joe Straus highlights some of the Texas Legislature's work from the 2013 session in his first TV ad of the year. As in 2012, Straus is facing Matt Beebe in the Republican primary.

House Speaker Joe Straus, R-San Antonio, highlights some of the Texas Legislature's work from the 2013 session in his first TV ad of the year. In the 30-second ad, Straus highlights his work on a water infrastructure measure that voters approved last year and ending last year's legislative work with a "record amount in the Rainy Day Fund."   

As in 2012, Straus is facing Matt Beebe in the Republican primary.
