Republican Ted Cruz parried David Dewhurst's video announcement this morning with an internet ad calling himself the "proven conservative" in the U.S. Senate race. Dewhurst announced his candidacy on Tuesday, calling himself "unapologetically conservative." They're among the five Republicans (so far) seeking the nomination in 2012.
