A fourth generation East Texan, Wayne Christian grew up in the small town of Tenaha, Texas. After attending public school in the Tenaha Independent School District, Wayne graduated as valedictorian from Tenaha High School in 1969. His college years were spent at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, where he graduated with a BBA in General Business with a minor in Marketing in 1973. Two years later, Wayne married the beautiful Lisa Lemoine, of Shelbyville, Texas. Together they have three daughters – Liza, Lindsey, and Lauren.

He and Lisa are members of the First Baptist Church in Center, where he has served as a member of the Texas Baptist Men’s Laity Board. Wayne also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Shelby County Senior Citizen Corporation of Texas.

Wayne Christian began his career as the lead singer and manager of his country/gospel band the Mercy River Boys. The band toured the state and nation in the 70’s and early 80’s, and were two-time finalist for the National GMA Dove Award as group of the year. In 1979, Wayne was a finalist for the Grammy Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. Wayne was closely involved with Gospel Music Association and served on the National Board of Directors from 1976 to 1979.

In 1987, after gaining valuable experience in business, banking and real estate, Wayne Christian opened the small business that he still owns to this day. Through Wayne Christian Financial, Wayne provides families not only in Texas, but nationwide financial advice and investing guidance, helping them prepare for their future in uncertain financial times. In his first year in the financial services business Wayne became a member of the prestigious Sun America President’s Club, being in the top 1% of 6,700 offices nationwide. He is a three-time AIG top advisor nationwide.
