Joe Moody is the representative of Texas’ House District 78.
He is serving as the vice chair of the Criminal Jurisprudence Committee and also sits on the General Investigating & Ethics and Homeland Security & Public Safety committees.Moody previously served on the Border and Intergovernmental Affairs Committee.
His legislative focus includes keeping communities safe from gang violence,disabled veterans property tax relief, and funds for local domestic violence centers across Texas.
During the 81st Legislative Session, Moody was also awarded "Freshman of the Year" by two non-partisan groups, The Mexican American Legislative Caucus, and the Texas District and County Attorneys Association.
Moody is married to Adrianne Riley. His father, William Moody, is a district judge.
