Mark Miller served as editor of The Texas Tribune in 2010 and 2011, reporting to founding CEO Evan Smith.
A native of San Antonio, Miller graduated from Southern Methodist University with a B.A. in history and a B.F.A in Journalism. He had a long career at Newsweek, joining the magazine as a summer intern in 1985 and eventually becoming editorial director in 2009. He also served as an assistant managing editor for Sunday and enterprise reporting at the Dallas Morning News.
