The last voters at Texas Southern University, a historically black university, ultimately spent nearly an entire workday waiting in line to cast their ballots, nearly seven hours after polls closed.

"I can remember when I did not have the right to vote," said Nancy Glenn Griesinger, second from right, when asked why she waited so long in line to vote Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at Texas Southern University in Houston. After 10 p.m., a line of people still stretched out of the Robert James Terry Library as they waited to cast their votes.
