Victims in the El Paso shooting hailed from three countries and were living life at varied stages

From a high school student about to begin his sophomore year to a couple who had been together for six decades, 22 people were killed in El Paso last week after a gunman allegedly targeted Hispanics and opened fire in a Walmart.

More than 20 people were killed in an Aug. 3, 2019, shooting rampage at a Walmart in El Paso. The gunman was arrested and charged with capital murder for the shooting in El Paso, which is recovering from what federal law enforcement has classified as an act of domestic terrorism.
