The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment is one of four recipients of the John Covert Watson Award for Vision, presented by the Children in Nature Collaborative of Austin. The award is given for innovation and initiatives to connect children to nature. Last year, more than 31,000 school children participated in the center's learning programs at Spring Lake.  (Texas State News)
