Communities Worry About Tainted Water
Following revelations that water near a Colorado military base was tainted, concern about water contaminated with perflourinated chemicals, known as PFCs, has spread to communities around the country that were home to bases or chemical plants. The Environmental Protection Agency has associated PFCs with low birth weight, cancer and other diseases. (The New York Times)
