Plan to Increase Education Funding Lacks Key Components
Though no mention was made of how to better account for current education spending, a bipartisan commission of lawmakers and education specialists released a report recommending Massachusetts increase its K-12 funding by almost half a billion dollars. Improvements in data tracking with regard to low-income and English language learning students was also suggested, but details as to the timeline or income source of such funding were not included.
