Chromebooks Dominate K-12 Market
A steady increase in demand for computing devices in the classroom has not only driven down the cost of devices, but also cleared the way for Chromebook tablets to dominate the market. In the U.S. this year, 60 percent of Chromebooks were sold to the education sector, making up 49 percent of the total devices purchased by schools. While their competitive pricing indicates high demand, it negatively affects profit margins. (Education Week)
