Opinion: Larson Sees Solution in Water Grid Bill
In an op-ed, state Rep. Lyle Larson, R-San Antonio, argues for his bill that would have the Texas Water Development Board study the creation of a water market in Texas, including the development of a water grid that would carry water from one area of the state to another. He calls this a "hydrovascular network" that would "enable the sharing of water supplies among communities." Opponents are pushing back, arguing that moving large amounts of water presents environmental dangers. (San Antonio Express-News)
