Experts Support New Federal Fracking Rules
The U.S. Bureau of Land Management has called for new fracking rules on public lands to deal with environmental concerns. The rules have drawn responses from both sides of the aisle in Congress, but experts from Stanford say in an interview that the rules are a good start. Much more needs to be done to deal with improper well construction, they say, and rules should also address public concerns over traffic and increased industrial activity. (Water Online)
