Changes Ahead in Medical School Curriculum

An American Medical Association effort has prompted changes in medical school curriculum, along with a major revision to the Medical College Admission Test. The test’s change is the first since 1991, making it two hours longer, and will be used as early as April. The changes were sparked by the the current upheaval in U.S. health care delivery systems, as well as the fact that doctor training and selection has changed very little in nearly a century.
