Regional water conservation initiatives and water research programs such as those at the University of Texas at El Paso and the Texas Water Resources Institute at Texas A&M University would benefit from legislation pushed by U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke, D-El Paso. He says the renewal of funding would expand research into the use of grey water as well as into removing salt from brackish groundwater. (KRWG)
