UT Education Alumnus Named AISD Superintendent

After a protracted search, Austin Independent School District’s Board of Trustees named Paul Cruz the district’s first Hispanic superintendent.

After a protracted search, Austin Independent School District’s Board of Trustees named Paul Cruz the district’s first Hispanic superintendent. Cruz earned his doctorate in educational administration from the University of Texas at Austin’s College of Education. Cruz is a veteran of AISD and its management team, having previously served as interim superintendent and chief schools officer. (Community Impact)
