New Finance Magazine Targets Grades 4-6

Financial literacy is not typically included in elementary curriculum guidelines, but NBC financial editor Jean Chatzky is challenging that precedent with her new money magazine for kids, called Your $. The publication will be distributed monthly to around 2 million students nationwide, and is sponsored by the PwC Charitable Foundation’s Earn Your Future program, an initiative set to spend $160 million over the next five years on imparting financial skills to students.
