Texas Tribune CEO and Editor-in-Chief Evan Smith kicked off the keynote track with a one-on-one conversation with Republican Land Commissioner Nominee George P. Bush.

 

Smith held one-on-one conversations with lieutenant governor candidates Dan Patrick and Leticia Van de Putte.

 

Tribune Executive Editor Ross Ramsey held a one-on-one conversation with Texas House Speaker Joe Straus.

 

Karen Tumulty, national political correspondent for The Washington Post, held a one-on-one conversation with U.S. Sen. John Cornyn.

 

Tribune Editor-in-Chief Evan Smith moderated the "Can the Center Hold?" discussion, which featured former U.S. Sens. Bill Bradley and Kay Bailey Hutchison, former U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed.

 

Dan Balz, chief correspondent for The Washington Post, held a one-on-one conversation with U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz.

 

The Tribune's Evan Smith held a one-on-one conversation with state Sen. and Democratic gubernatorial nominee Wendy Davis.

 

Smith also moderated the "Ready for 2016" panel, which featured Politico Senior Political Reporter Maggie Haberman, MSNBC's Chris Hayes, Washington Post National Political Reporter Nia-Malika Henderson, New York Times National Political Correspondent Jonathan Martin and Slate Political Reporter David Weigel.

 

Finally, Smith held a one-on-one conversation with Gov. Rick Perry.
