The Parent-Teacher Conference Gets a Reboot in New York

New York City school officials are revamping the age-old fall tradition of the parent-teacher conference in hopes of making the meetings more relevant and productive. Increasing the number of annual conferences from two to four, moving the first conference to the beginning of the year, and making busy parents aware of alternate meeting possibilities, such as phone conferences, are all tweaks intended to reinvigorate the long-standing tradition.
