Pete Sessions Endorses Branch for AG

Dallas Republican Congressman Pete Sessions on Tuesday endorsed state Rep. Dan Branch for attorney general, becoming the third member of Texas' GOP House delegation in two days to back Branch.

Dallas Republican Congressman Pete Sessions on Tuesday endorsed state Rep. Dan Branch in the May 27 GOP primary runoff contest for attorney general. He is the third member of Texas' GOP House delegation in two days to back Branch. Pete Olson and Bill Flores announced their support on Monday.

“As a leader in Congress for nearly twenty years and the son of former FBI Director William S. Sessions, Congressman Sessions fully appreciates the importance of our justice system and has a deep respect for the rule of law,” Branch said in a statement. “Pete is a conservative warrior and I am thankful for his full-fledged support and endorsement.”

Branch is vying with state Sen. Ken Paxton for the party's nomination for attorney general.
