Straus Issues Interim Charges on Water

House Speaker Joe Straus has issued a list of interim charges to be carried out by the Committee on Natural Resources, including a charge to monitor the implementation of bills affecting the State Water Plan.

House Speaker Joe Straus has issued a list of interim charges to be carried out by the Committee on Natural Resources, including a charge to monitor the implementation of HB 4 and SJR 1, bills affecting Texas water and the State Water Plan. Charges also include evaluating the “availability, management, and development of groundwater in the state” and examining “strategies to enhance the use of aquifer storage and recovery projects.”
