The Texas Water Development Board has produced an online graphic demonstrating how regions around the state would fare in terms of lost income, taxes and jobs by the year 2030 in the event of severe drought.

The Texas Water Development Board has produced an online graphic demonstrating how five different water planning regions around the state would fare in terms of lost income, taxes and jobs by the year 2030 in the event of severe drought. Benefits of growth, according to the graphic, could be undone by long-term drought, water shortages and deteriorating infrastructure. For example, according to the graphic, lost income in Region C, which includes the Dallas Fort-Worth area, could amount to $12.9 billion.
