I'm a few days late reporting this — blame Wendy Davis — but the first six months of 2013 were extremely strong on all fronts for the Tribune.

I'm a few days late reporting this — blame Wendy Davis — but the first six months of 2013 were extremely strong on all fronts for the Tribune. In keeping with our longstanding policy of telling you more than you ever could possibly want to know about the inner workings of our business, here are a few key indicators of our continued success.

Our total monthly unique visitors are more than 15 percent higher than they were at this time in 2012, our visits to the site are nearly 20 percent ahead of last year's, and our page views are holding steady. Meanwhile, with half of the year elapsed, we're already better than two-thirds of the way to meeting our ambitious revenue goal.

The site traffic numbers:

January to June 2013 (2012) % change

Visits: 6.136M (5.126M) +19.7%
Unique Visitors: 3.41M (2.96M) +15.1%
Page views: 19.81M (20.72M) -4.4%

Of course, 2012 was a non-lege year.  In an apples-to-apples sense, a better comparison may be to 2011 — the last lege year.

January to June 2013 (2011) % change

Visits: 6.136M (4.434M) +38.34%
Unique Visitors: 3.41M (2.277M) +49.5%
Page views: 19.81M (21.02M) -5.76%

As for our fundraising numbers, I'm please to tell you that we've raised $3.259 million toward a revenue goal of $4.85 million — ahead of where we were last year and on track to meet or exceed our budget.

It's been a heck of year so far, and there are great things coming. Thanks, as ever, to each and every one of you for your support.
