In an op-ed for the San Antonio Express-News, Andrew Sansom, who heads the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University, calls on the city of San Antonio to take the lead on smart water policy in Texas. Sansom notes that San Antonio is already leading the state in creative solutions to water shortages. "San Antonio is in the unique position of demonstrating to cities and towns across the state that the easiest and cheapest water we can get is the water we already have," he writes.
