Tom Leppert: "Why I'm Running"

Exiting Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert has released a lengthy (as in, more than three minutes) video on YouTube explaining why the Republican is running for U.S. Senate.

Earlier today, his last day as mayor of Dallas, Tom Leppert announced that he is indeed running for U.S. Senate.

The Republican also released a lengthy (as in, more than three minutes) video on YouTube explaining why he's doing it.

Accompanied by a contemplative string arrangement, Leppert explains that the country today is "less competitive than it used to be," which he believes he can change because he's "a true Texas conservative."
