For the first time, President Barack Obama granted a slew of pardons today. He pardoned nine people convicted primarily of rather minor offenses.

Among the pardoned were two Texans. Timothy James Gallagher, of Navasota, was convicted of possession with the intent to deliver cocaine in Arizona and was sentenced to probation in 1982. Scoey Lathaniel Morris, of Crosby, was convicted of passing counterfeit bills. He was sentenced in 1999 to serve probation and pay restitution.

Check out the list of pardons here. Read the New York Times story about the pardons here.
