T-Squared: A Partnership With the Express-News
Coming this Sunday: the latest collaboration between the Trib and one of the state's venerable newspapers.
Coming this Sunday: the latest collaboration between the Trib and one of the state's venerable newspapers. For several weeks, Matt Stiles and Brandi Grissom have been working alongside the great John Tedesco of the San Antonio Express-News on an investigative piece related to concealed handgun permits in Texas. We're honored to be partnering with the Express-News, whose editor, Bob Rivard, has long taken a progressive view of the benefits of teaming up. You can read a teaser posted yesterday by Tedesco here.
This project comes on the heels of our excellent collaborations with the Houston Chronicle and the El Paso Times, and it precedes another big project with the Chron that should see publication in a couple of weeks. The hang-separately-or-survive-together mentality seems to be taking hold. Good for our business of journalism — and good for Texas.

Quality journalism doesn't come free
Perhaps it goes without saying — but producing quality journalism isn't cheap. At a time when newsroom resources and revenue across the country are declining, The Texas Tribune remains committed to sustaining our mission: creating a more engaged and informed Texas with every story we cover, every event we convene and every newsletter we send. As a nonprofit newsroom, we rely on members to help keep our stories free and our events open to the public. Do you value our journalism? Show us with your support.Yes, I'll donate today
