The latest ad from Chet Edwards' campaign features the testimony of General Paul Funk, the former commander of Fort Hood. Funk tells voters that Flores is "spreading outright lies" about Edwards and urges them to "stand up to Bill Flores, because Chet Edwards has stood up for us."

It will begin running in Waco and College Station today.

Here's the full script:

Funk: I'm Paul Funk, former Commander of Ft. Hood. Bill Flores is spreading outright lies against Chet Edwards. I know Chet Edwards. He is a person of deepest integrity. I've seen Bill Flores' plan to privatize VA health care, and it would hurt our nation's veterans, badly. It's time to stand up to Bill Flores' lies, because Chet Edwards has stood up for us.

Edwards: I'm Chet Edwards and I approve this message because there's so much at stake.
