Republican Bill Flores released his second television ad today in his race to unseat incumbent Democratic U.S. Rep. Chet Edwards, D-Waco.

The ad, called "Slideshow," details how unemployment has gone up in every county in Congressional District 17 since the federal stimulus passed with Edwards' support. (Flores' first television ad also focused on jobs.) "To turn our economy around we've got to turn over Congress," the Bryan businessman says in the spot. Flores has consistently been attacking Edwards for supporting the original federal stimulus, and with good reason. The heavily Republican district is also a hotbed of anti-federal government sentiment.
