Railroad Commission Victor Carrillo

Challenger David Porter appears on his way to soundly defeating Victor Carrillo, the incumbent, in the Republican primary race for railroad commissioner. 

Carrillo is chairman of the energy-regulating Texas Railroad Commission and won his current term to that office in 2004, after a runoff. But he appears destined for a loss tonight. Porter has garnered nearly 60 percent of the vote with more than two-thirds of precincts reporting.
