Now that the filing period's over, candidates, help us help you.
We've begun collecting clips for our "Better Know a Candidate" video project that we introduced in the week before break. In case you were too busy during the holiday season to read it (I totally understand), here's the 4-1-1:
If you are running for the Texas Legislature or any statewide office in Texas, send us a 90-second-or-shorter video introducing yourself and your platform or ideas. This is intended to be a candid introduction - not a full-fledged glossy campaign commercial. We will aggregate these clips and make them part of our Elections 2010 data application so that voters across Texas will be able to watch your short introduction and compare it to other candidates.
Submitting is simple. Host your video on YouTube and send the link to media@texastribune.org. We can take it from there.
