President-elect Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he had tapped Betsy DeVos, the former Michigan Republican Party chairwoman and avid school choice advocate, to head the U.S. Department of Education. Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence met with DeVos in New Jersey to discuss educational standards and pushing school choice nationwide.
