If you’ve ever been moved by music, a play or a painting, then you know art’s transformative power. It’s something that Brad Richter, director of outreach for the University of Arizona College of Fine Arts and co-founder of the music education organization Lead Guitar, explores through a program he helped develop, Arizona Art in Schools, known as AZAiS.

Wonder makes us map the universe.

Where did we come from? That’s a question Professor Chris Walker is searching the galaxy to answer, aided by University of Arizona facilities and expert personnel. In 2017, NASA selected the professor of astronomy in the university’s Steward Observatory as the principal investigator to help map the Milky Way.
