Collier, a first-time candidate, served as the chief financial officer of Houston-based Layline Petroleum. Before that, he was an executive with Exxon and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He served in the audit practice for 10 years, becoming a top aide to the PWC world chairman. Collier is from Williamson County and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, where he received his undergraduate degree and MBA. He lives in Houston.
