Hector Leiva is the director of strategy. Prior to the Tribune, he led strategy development, execution and progress monitoring for international, national and state-wide organizations. Most recently, Hector served as the chief of staff for the chief talent officer at IDEA Public Schools, supporting the organization's modernization of the human resources, talent acquisition and compensation and benefits divisions. Hector holds a bachelor of arts in multimedia journalism, is originally from El Salvador, grew up in Miami and has been living in Austin for 11 years with his wife and their two daughters.
