Giselle Greenwood
Giselle Rodriguez Greenwood is the interim regions editor, overseeing reporters based in Houston, Lubbock, Lufkin, McAllen and Odessa. She was previously lead editor at the Houston Landing, a nonprofit newsroom, and prior to that, served as editor-in-chief at the Houston Business Journal, where she was the first Latina editor at the newspaper’s almost 40-year history. Giselle is a proud alumna of the University of Texas at Austin, where she received her bachelor’s degree in journalism. Aside from her 20-year career in journalism, she’s also a certified fitness and cardio kickboxing instructor, and enjoys tackling the occasional hike up 14,000-foot mountains. The daughter of Colombian and Cuban immigrants, Giselle was born in New York City, but grew up in Houston, where she’s based today.
