Yasmeen Khalifa , originally from Egypt, grew up in the Piney Woods of East Texas and is now based in Houston. Previously, Yasmeen worked for the Houston Chronicle as an audience producer, the Washington Post as an audience intern, and the Texas Tribune as an audience engagement fellow. Yasmeen is passionate about audience-centered journalism, which she believes can highlight the issues and stories of underrepresented and misunderstood communities. In her free time, you'll find her rescuing cats, swimming or kayaking in just about any body of water, or roadtripping.
