Gov. Rick Perry is a sought-after man these days, with every news outlet trying to pin him down on whether he’s running for president.

The governor kept his critics and supporters guessing Tuesday night during double appearances on Fox NewsYour World with Cavuto andย Fox BusinessThe Willis Report. When asked by Cavuto about his plans, Perry responded, “I’m not sure you have to make a decision in a month. I’d hate to be pointing to a time specific.” The three-term governor also addressed the Lone Star State’s business credentials, Weinergate, Hispanic voters, abortion politics and the recent implosion of Newt Gingrich’s campaign.ย

And when asked about his popularity in Texas, Perry had this to say: โ€œThe prophet is generally not loved in their hometown.โ€

Onย The Willis Report, Perry discussed the state’s strategy for creating jobs: keeping taxes low and maintaining a fair and even regulatory environment. He also told anchor Gerri Willis he has a message for the federal government: “Don’t help us anymore.”ย
