Insurers are asking whether water losses from hurricanes have become more significant than losses from wind damage as more people choose to move or to build close to the beach. RMS, a risk assessment firm, says that the balance is starting to shift, pointing out that 60 percent of the losses in Superstorm Sandy came from water damage. (The RMS Blog)
