<p>Republican gubernatorial candidate <a href="http://www.texastribune.org/directory/greg-abbott/">Greg Abbott</a>&nbsp;is featuring a Mexican-American actor and anti-abortion advocate in his latest TV ad.</p>
<p>The ad, which will air in English and Spanish, is slated to run statewide. It stars actor&nbsp;<a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0895150/">Eduardo Ver&aacute;stegui</a>, known both for his acting and anti-abortion activism, telling the viewer why he supports Abbott.&nbsp;Ver&aacute;stegui has acted in movies including <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0482463/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_5">Bella</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1507355/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_4">The Butterfly Circus</a>,&nbsp;and&nbsp;he will have a role in <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3450650/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_1">Mall Cop 2</a>, which is set to be released in 2015.</p>

Republican gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott is featuring a Mexican-American actor and anti-abortion advocate in his latest TV ad.

The ad, which will air in English and Spanish, is slated to run statewide. It stars actor Eduardo Verástegui, known both for his acting and anti-abortion activism, telling the viewer why he supports Abbott. Verástegui has acted in movies including Bella and The Butterfly Circus, and he will have a role in Mall Cop 2, which is set to be released in 2015.

"More and more these days, our communities are being threatened by politicians who want to corrupt our values, like faith, family and freedom,” Verástegui says in the ad.
