Educators in the communities affected by recent violence, such as Baton Rouge, Louisiana; St. Paul, Minnesota; and Dallas, are focusing on students’ needs and how to address emotional issues related to race relations, grief and feelings of safety and well-being. Teachers, like one Dallas-area educator, are working on ways to start meaningful dialogues in their classrooms.
