Join us Aug. 26 for a conversation about the future of Texas public media
Sign up for The Brief, The Texas Tribune’s daily newsletter that keeps readers up to speed on the most essential Texas news.
Public radio and television have served news, education and entertainment to Texans for decades. But recent cuts in federal funding could imperil some of that work.
Join us at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26 at The Texas Tribune's Studio 919 and online when we speak with three public media leaders about the services they provide, the impact of the cuts and where their stations will go from here. Confirmed speakers include Corrie MacLaggan, executive editor of KUT News and The Texas Newsroom, and Luis Patiño, president and Chief Executive Officer of Austin PBS. More speakers will be announced soon.
