Texans used mutual aid to help their communities through a devastating winter storm

Last week, an untold number of Texans who had lost power and heat, and in some cases water, took to social media platforms to ask for help — and be connected to those who could offer it.

Twins D'Aunjanee and L'Aunjanee Carriere load cases of meals onto a bus for distribution in Dallas. The Harvest Project Food Rescue project came together with over 20 organizations and over a hundred volunteers to gather and distribute food, water, warm clothes, and blankets after the winter storm in Dallas.
