Seliger, R-Amarillo, has represented District 31 since 2004. Seliger sits on the Senate Health and Human Services, Nominations, and Veteran Affairs and Border Security committees. He served four terms as mayor of Amarillo and was a member of the Amarillo City Commission and Amarillo Civil Service Commission.

Watson, D-Austin, has represented District 14 since 2006. Watson is the vice chair of the Senate Nominations Committee and sits on the Education, Finance and Higher Education committees. Watson served as Austin’s mayor from 1997-2001.
