Washington silences public on education bills
After a Senate committee opted out of a public hearing for important education-related legislation, The Seattle Times called for more public input.
The Seattle Times Editorial Board issued an opinion piece urging state lawmakers to provide more opportunities for the public to have their say on financing education. The piece comes after the Senate Ways and Means Committee opted not to provide a public hearing on important education-funding bills. (The Seattle Times)
