Conference addresses decision-making in uncertain times

A new organization called the Society for Decision Making Under Deep Uncertainty meets this week in Washington, D.C., to talk about how to help leaders make wiser decisions about water, energy and food systems.

The concept of "deep uncertainty" acknowledges the difficulty for such entities as water utilities in dealing with a dynamic and shifting system where factors like rainfall and regulation are in flux.
