Trib+Water also brings you the latest hires, promotions and appointments of note in the water community:
Gov. Greg Abbott named William R. “Bill” Rector of Kerrville to a spot on the Upper Guadalupe River Authority. A retired physician, Rector was a radiologist at the U.S. Air Force Wilford Hall Medical Center. He also was a partner at the Hill Country Imaging Association. Rector’s term on the river authority runs until Feb. 1, 2017.
Abbott also reappointed Jerry Gipson of Longview to the multi-state Sabine River Compact Administration. His new term runs until July 12, 2022. The Sabine River Compact is overseen by two commissioners appointed by Texas, two commissioners appointed by Louisiana and a fifth commissioner appointed by the U.S.
