U.S. Secretary of Education calls for civic education
Speaking to the National Press Club on Oct. 19, Secretary of Education John King stated that civic education is the key to ending police brutality and easing racial tensions in the U.S. Arguing that many of today’s most pressing problems will not be solved by an act of the president, Congress, or even state legislatures, but by citizens who work together strategically.
