Schools in Jefferson County, Kentucky, are engaged in an ambitious social and emotional learning initiative called the Compassionate School Project (CSP). The six-year experiment aims to teach students compassion, empathy and resilience. Although it is too early to evaluate the new curriculum’s impact, the project received an additional $4.4 million donation. (Christian Science Monitor)
